Today I will review the M-Tac Tactical shoulder/chest pack. I just wrote that in case you didn’t see the title of this post.

I had been looking at cross body packs for concealed carry for a while. I looked at everything from garbage to insanely overpriced. In the end, I went with the M-Tac.
I have used it for EDC for a little over a month. In the reviews I have read, there were a lot of complaints that the pack is too small for a full sized gun. My current EDC gun is my Colt 1911 Combat Commander, and the M-Tac has plenty of room for it. I carried my S&W 686 SSR a couple of times as well, and the M-Tac handled it well but the 686 really was the limit on what the M-Tac could hold.
I load out the M-Tac with the 1911, three spare magazines, two tourniquet, and a folding knife.
Most of the chest packs I looked at were a bit too tactical. I don’t want to scare the horses. The M-Tac doesn’t look too tactical. And with the crossbody being somewhat in fashion right now, it just blends in.

The velcro patch allows you to customize with morale patches. I have had zero issues with the zippers, which was a common complaint in some questionable reviews. I recommend the M-Tac for price-point, craftsmanship, and functionality.
